Why should I get the Work Ethic Certificate?

High School seniors should get the WEC to demonstrate to potential employers that they have the "soft" skills that are needed to be employable.  These skills are what employers want to see from potential employees.  By earning the certificate you have demonstrated you have those skills that employers seek in potential employees.

Employers throughout Hancock County and the state of Indiana are honoring the WEC by providing work based incentives to individuals who have earned the certificate.  Work based incentives could include:

  1. Job Interview - Guaranteed
  2. Applicant Pool Preference
  3. Tuition Reimbursement
  4. Flexible Scheduling
  5. Sign-on Bonus
  6. Increased Base Pay
  7. Professional Mentoring Opportunity
  8. Other.
