State-of-the-Art & High Tech Opportunities at MVHS!
Mt. Vernon High School offers a wide range of high tech learning opportunities for students. Thanks, in part, to an Eli Lilly Cape Grant in 2003, Mt. Vernon launched a Microsoft Academy, A+ Certification program and a state-of-the-art computer modeling and animation lab. Mt. Vernon was one of the first high schools in the country to have a 3D Printer and was the first high school in the country to have an Elumen's Vision Dome. Many Project Lead the Way (PLTW) courses are available with a variety of options.
The modern video production studio allows students to produce a live daily news and entertainment program called MVTV. The studio utilizes green screen technology and includes eight editing stations.
Check out some of the MVTV News Team's broadcasts and videos on their MVTV Live

Students in Mt. Vernon's Computer Animation Design (CAD) classes receive college credit.
There are also Young Film Makers and Animators summer workshops at MVHS for kids ages 10-14. Contact tom.shaver@mvcsc.k12.in.us for more information on the summer camps.
